Docs/comments-only follow-up. The edge-host role README, the install play header, and a defaults comment described edge-1 as a "bare-metal Arch N100" that partitions "the NVMe". The actually-deployed hardware is a Dell Wyse 3040 (Atom x5-Z8350, 2 GB RAM) on a 7.3 GB internal eMMC (/dev/mmcblk0).
Changes:
README heading + intro now state the real hardware up front and cross-reference the "Logging & eMMC" section.
The installer step is reworded to reflect that edge-install autodetects the target disk (NVMe if present, else eMMC) — so an N100/NVMe box is still supported; only the "this is an N100/NVMe" framing was wrong.
"the N100" → "edge-1" in the cutover checklist and the USB-devices comment; play header notes Wyse 3040 / eMMC.
No runtime change; --syntax-check clean. Surfaced by the wiki-distill pass that corrected the same drift in the notes.
Docs/comments-only follow-up. The edge-host role README, the install play header, and a defaults comment described edge-1 as a "bare-metal Arch **N100**" that partitions "the **NVMe**". The actually-deployed hardware is a **Dell Wyse 3040** (Atom x5-Z8350, 2 GB RAM) on a **7.3 GB internal eMMC** (`/dev/mmcblk0`).
Changes:
- README heading + intro now state the real hardware up front and cross-reference the "Logging & eMMC" section.
- The installer step is reworded to reflect that `edge-install` autodetects the target disk (NVMe if present, else eMMC) — so an N100/NVMe box is still supported; only the "this *is* an N100/NVMe" framing was wrong.
- "the N100" → "edge-1" in the cutover checklist and the USB-devices comment; play header notes Wyse 3040 / eMMC.
No runtime change; `--syntax-check` clean. Surfaced by the wiki-distill pass that corrected the same drift in the notes.
The role README, install play, and a defaults comment described edge-1 as a
"bare-metal Arch N100" partitioning "the NVMe". The deployed hardware is a
Dell Wyse 3040 (Atom x5-Z8350, 2 GB RAM) on a 7.3 GB internal eMMC. Correct
the docs to reflect reality, note the actual hardware up front, and keep the
installer's dual NVMe/eMMC autodetect accurately described. Docs/comments
only — no runtime change.
